Even though I'm from Israel and I am not a Christian I love the Christmas feeling. I even have a Christmas story. In Dec 2010 a fire broke out in the forests of mount Carmel. It was a horrible few days with firefighters fighting the fire from Dec 2nd till Dec 6th. 44 men and women lost their lives in the fire including 3 police men and women and 3 firefighters. The Israeli firefighters couldn't handle the fire. And to help came 20 countries from around the world including Palestine.
I was heading to London while the fighting with the fire was still going on and with a heavy heart, But with a lot of optimism to the future, seeing the global cooperation, the help, the good intentions and the beauty the the human being can be.

One of the days of the holiday I wondered into Southwark Cathedral. Children and parents were everywhere and I thought I'll just have a snick pick at the Cathedral and come back later. But the priests said out loud: "Welcome children, parents, family, friends and people who wondered in" with a big smile on his face. So I found myself sitting and watching a nativity play. I sang the songs that I new, I loved watching children in all colours singing together, having fun, playing the story they grew up on while making us all laugh and smile ear to ear. It's was beautiful and it was for me a Christmas feeling for the first time in my live. It might not be my faith, but in doesn't mean I can't see the true meaning of Christmas.

But, having said all that it is Nov. 15th and SL is all getting redy for Christmas so soon. And for that I remembered a sketch I saw a year minus a day ago on Saturday Night Live. I'm dedicating this funny one to all those that are making my SL happy.
